Certified Nurse Psychotherapist (CNP) or Certified Psychotherapist Nurse (CPN) are licensed regulated nurses, including: registered nurses (RNs), registered practical nurses(RPNs), nurse practitioners (NP), registered psychiatric nurses (RPNs), and license practical nurses (LPN’s), who are registered and licensed to practice with their College of Nurses in Canada and in the United States of America.

The Certified Nurse Psychotherapist (CNPs) in addition to their nursing training, have obtained further education, training, practical skills and supervision in providing professional counselling skills, and psychotherapy, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to treat clients, including individuals, couples and children.
